CHARM Interviewer (CI): In technical language, what is the research you do here at CHARM?
Mohammad Tomal Hossain (MTH): Antiferromagnetic magnons are quantized quasiparticles of magnetic excitations in antiferromagnets. In our lab we characterize the antiferromagnets through studying antiferromagnetic magnon using different ferromagnetic resonance and spectroscopic techniques.
CI: What is a skill you would like to build on while being a part of CHARM?
MTH: Nanofabrication, something I’ve been working hard on.
CI: What’s your favorite part of being with CHARM?
MTH: Being able to collaborate with a wide variety of people.
CI: Are there any other student/campus organizations you belong to?
MTH: Grad Muslim Student Association (MSA), Bangladesh Student Association (BSA)
CI: What do you enjoy doing on your downtime outside of the lab?
MTH: I enjoy gardening!
CI: Do you have any social media pages you’d like to share?
