CHARM Interviewer (CI): In technical language, what is the research you do here at CHARM?
Yongchen Liu (YL): My research is on topological insulator induced plasmon coupling with other quasi-particles.
CI: What is a skill you would like to build on while being a part of CHARM?
YL: Being a mentor to other people in my network.
CI: What’s your favorite part of being with CHARM?
YL: Working with undergrads in the lab and during the summer REU program.
CI: What do you enjoy doing on your downtime outside of the lab?
YL: I enjoy reading on my time off.
